On 23 July the IKEA Shanghai City Center Store was inaugurated.
The centrally located store opens a new path for IKEAs development in China. Hundreds of eager customers were waiting in line to get into the store. IKEA was represented by Stephan Deville, President of Ingka Real Estate China. The local government was represented by Vice Governor of Jing’an district Zhang Jun. Deputy Consul General Jakob Holthuis attended the inauguration on behalf of the Consulate.
