In December, the Consulate General of Sweden in Shanghai organized a hybrid seminar on Swedish knowledge and experience in Green Transition for Industry and Transport.
The conference which was a hybrid event had the participation of around 70 industry experts and policy makers in both Shanghai and Sweden. After opening remarks by the Consul-General of Sweden in Shanghai, Mrs. Marie-Claire Swärd Capra, a keynote speech was delivered by Sweden’s Head of Delegation to the UNFCCC, Mr. Mattias Frumerie, highlighting need for global energy transition. Gökçe Mete, Head of the Secretariat for the Stockholm based global Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT) introduced LeadIT’s work, focusing notably on green steel.
Representatives of Swedish companies including Northvolt, Volvo Cars, Powercell and Scania shared their efforts towards carbon neutrality and participated in the panel discussion lead by European Chamber of Commerce in China Energy Working Group Vice Chair, Juan Ignacio Garcia de Motiloa, and with the additional expertise of panelist Mickael Naouri, also Vice Chair of the EUCham Energy Working Group.
