On September 6, the Consulate General of Sweden in Shanghai, represented by Deputy Consul General, David Jallow, participated in the 2023 Sustainable Business Awards (SBA) event held at The Langham Xintiandi, Shanghai.
The ceremony was organised by the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China.
The SBA aims to acknowledge companies which put sustainable economic growth, green development, innovation, risk management and social welfare at the forefront of their values. Four Swedish companies Alfa Laval, LKAB, Volvo Group China, and White Peak were awarded for their significant contributions in the following areas:
Decarbonisation Leader Award (Alfa Laval)
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Leader Award (Volvo Group China)
Environmental Pioneer Award (White Peak)
Sustainability Due Diligence Leader Award (LKAB)
The Deputy Consul General presented the awards and thanked the four Swedish companies for their commitment to sustainable practices, setting the bar high for business worldwide.
