Exploring Diversity of Identities Through Film: Girl in Tails

On December 5 the Consulate General of Sweden in Shanghai and the Department for Culture and Education of the German Consulate General in Shanghai jointly screen the film Girl in Tails, a notable work by Swedish female director Karin Swanström.

The film has come to be viewed both as a classic comedy and a pioneering feminist film from the Swedish “silent era” of the 1920s. The screening is part of the joint initiative Queer as European Folk, during which films from Sweden, Italy, Austria, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, and Norway will be screened on at the Göthe Institute on December 5 and 12.

Girl in Tails bring a rich experience by encouraging people to explore the diversity of identities. Around 60 audience attend the film screening.
