On April 4 Swedish ship owner Furetank took delivery of FURE VINGA, a 17.999 DWT product tanker constructed at AVIC Dingheng Shipbuilding in Yangzhou. The closing ceremony was held at the AVIC offices in Shanghai. Designed by FKAB and Furetank, FURE VINGA has several features that reduce fuel consumption and minimize CO2, SO2 and NO2 emissions.
FURE VINGA is the first in a series of six sister vessels contracted by Furetank Rederi AB, Rederi AB Älvtank and Thun Tankers BV. The vessels will operate predominantly in North West Europe and will be managed by Furetank Chartering.
The Consulate General was represented at the closing to collect the documents for registration. FURE VINGA has Swedish flag, port of registry Donsö, Sweden.
