On 10 September the Consulate General, Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Business Sweden jointly launched a series of presentations of the result of the Business Climate Survey 2020 to representatives of Swedish business in Shanghai. New Consul General of Sweden to Shanghai Marie-Claire Swärd Capra gave welcoming remarks.
The survey was conducted in May and June 2020 and is based on input from almost one hundred Swedish companies operating in China.
In the Study, responding Swedish firms noted a more difficult business climate compared to 2019 and ca 75 percent of respondents thought financial results would be negatively impacted by the pandemic. However almost two thirds still foresee that results will be at, or above, 2019 levels.
Many respondents indicate that they may increase investments in China over the coming years.
