As continuation of the Bergman 100 celebration in China, the exhibition “Laterna Magica: Ingmar Bergman and his legacy in art and fashion” is touring to Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu Province. Consul General Lisette Lindahl gave a speech at the inauguration on January 5.
The exhibition is curated by the Swedish Institute and adapted for the Chinese audience by Swedish-Chinese curator Wang Kaimei. It was shown in the centrally-located shopping mall Hong Kong Plaza in Shanghai for three weeks last autumn. Now the Consulate, in collaboration with Art Museum of Nanjing University of the Arts, is bringing the exhibition to Nanjing.
Ms Lindahl, representatives of the university and Ms Wang took part in the inauguration, which was attended by an audience of 50. Open to the public for free, the exhibition will be on until January 15.
