The Swedish guitarist and composer Yngwie Malmsteen is performing in Shanghai between the second to the third of October.
Yngwie Malmsteen, born in Stockholm, is one of the greatest electric guitar players in the world of hard rock. Malmsteen has been an active musician for over 40 years and has released more than 20 albums. He has played in the heavy metal bands Steeler and Alcatrazz and later moved on to his solo career. His first solo album, Rising Force, was well received by the music industry as well as the public.
Malmsteen is one of the most notable musicians in the neoclassical metal genre, which is a subgenre of heavy metal that is heavily influenced by classical music. Bach, Paganini and Vivaldi are some of the composers that have inspired Malmsteen’s music.
