The Consulate General of Sweden will be organizing a cultural event on December 15 introducing a panel of prominent international businesswomen in a panel discussion on women empowerment.
The exchange of experiences will be followed by a screening of the feature film Becoming Astrid, a dramatization of the early life of Swedish author Astrid Lindgren in the first half of the 20th Century. Astrid Lindgren is one of Sweden’s best-known writers of children’s fiction, notably the well-known books on the adventures of Pippi Longstocking and also a pioneer for the emancipation of women in Swedish society of the last Century.
