There’s currently a temporary ban on all non-essential travel to Sweden due to Covid-19. This temporary ban was put in place on 19 March, and is set to last until 15 May (updated 16/4). And several Swedish missions abroad may be limited in their capacity to assist in the processing of residence permit applications within normal timeframes. This may change as the situation evolves, and as soon as we have more answers, we’ll update this information.
Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all States in the world. It has embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
