The opening of the advent calendar is a Swedish tradition used to count down the days to Christmas. The calendar includes 24 windows, one opened each day between 1 December and Christmas Eve on 24 December. Behind each window you will find an inspiring image, a poem, a story, or sometimes even a delicious Christmas treat. It is customary for Swedish families to have at least one advent calendar.
This year, in the spirit of sustainability, the CSR Centre will share 24 inspiring examples of Swedish sustainable business practices in their own advent calendar. The calendar gives you the opportunity to review Swedish sustainable innovations and initiatives from the year that has been, while at the same time reflect on your own environmental footprint. Hopefully, it will work as an inspiration for the coming year.
