Visa applicants are reminded not to apply for a Schengen visa through the Swedish Embassy if the main purpose for the trip is to travel elsewhere than Belgium, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, or Sweden.
If the Embassy suspects that the purpose of the trip is not in accordance with the information stated in the application, it will be dismissed/refused.
An issued visa does not automatically mean you can enter the Schengen area. Entry checks are made at external border point to make sure that the travel plans are in accordance with what was submitted in the application. A border control may result in you being denied entry. A decision to revoke your visa will be stored in the Schengen Visa Information System (VIS) which can affect your future applications, even to other Schengen states.
The Embassy only cooperates with VFS Global. All applicants are strongly advised to not deal with anyone else but VFS Global regarding their visa applications. The Embassy is not affiliated with any kind to agents or other persons approaching applicants in order to offer visa services. An agent cannot influence processing times or the decision making in any way. Many agents also charge high fees for services that are unnecessary in the visa application process. Some agents are also known to fabricate information and documentation, and the use of such agents may compromise the overall credibility of your visa application.
Even if an agent has filled out the visa application form for you, you are personally responsible for all information and all documentation you submit with your signed application.
