On 29 October 2020, in the Amphitheater at Lake Tirana, the Swedish Embassy in cooperation with the United Nations Association Albania and the Swedish Institute held the Electionville game.
Game participants represented 5 imaginary parties, namely: the Green Party, the Social Democratic Alliance, the Basilisks, the Red Liberal Party and the Agora. They had at their disposal a limited set of resources for which they made decisions within the time frame of their mandate. The game was accompanied by civic polls and media posts on Twitter. The imaginary Basilsks party was announced as the winning party of this game.
Electionville is a fictional city in the shape of an educational floor game, where the participants take on the challenging roles of county council members. Equally fun and engaging, the main objective of the Electionville game is to educate about and provide insights into how democracy works.
We thank the United Nations Association Albania, the Swedish Institute and the Municipality of Tirana, for the cooperation and especially the United Nations Association Albania for the dedication and excellent performance.
