Warning: False agents in migration matters

Applicants for visas and other kinds of permits for staying in Sweden are advised not to deal with any agents.

The Embassy only cooperates with the external partner VFS Global in visa matters. The Embassy advices against using any kind of agent offering services with regard to visas and residence, work and study permits. No agencies can influence the processing period or the outcome of an application. If any agents claim they can influence your application, we urge you to immediately inform the Embassy.

Please be informed that many agents charge high fees for unnecessary services and occasionally provide false or outdated information that can compromise the overall credibility of an application.

The only fee charged for the processing of an application is the one the applicant is required to pay at the VFS Global’s application centers or to the Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket/Embassy of Sweden). Never pay any money to agents offering employment offers, study or ordinary residence permits.
