Visiting relatives and friends – extra documents
If you apply for a visa to visit relatives or friends, you need the documents listed below.
You must have:
- The documents required by all visa applicants. Read more under ‘Required documents’
- Written and signed invitation (240011 swe or 241011 eng) from the host person
- Copy of passport or national ID of host person, and copy of residence permit if not an EU citizen
- Proof of family ties if applicable
- If the host person will be paying for your support in Sweden – his/her bank statement showing bank operations over the last three months
