Interviews requested by the Swedish Migration Agency

You can attend your migration interview at the Embassy in Buenos Aires. The interviews are usually conducted via a video connection with the Embassy of Sweden in Bogotá.

Upon receiving an email from the Swedish Migration Agency indicating that you need to contact the Embassy to schedule an interview appointment, you can book the appointment through the migration appointment request form.

Passport check

If the Swedish Migration Agency requests you to show your passport at a Swedish Embassy, you can come to the Embassy in Buenos Aires without an appointment on Mondays from 10 to 11 AM.

Receive a copy of your decision from the Swedish Migration Agency

You can receive a copy of your decision at the Embassy in Buenos Aires. Decisions are handed out without an appointment on Mondays from 10 to 11 AM.

Have your fingerprints taken and be photographed for the residence card

Nationals of Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay usually have their have their fingerprints taken and are photographed in Sweden, as they are exempt from needing a visa to travel to the Schengen Area.

If you are of a nationality that requires you to have a visa to travel to the Schengen Area, such as Bolivia, Ecuador, or Cuba, or if you need to receive the residence card before traveling to Sweden for another reason, you can have your fingerprints taken and be photographed at the Embassy in Buenos Aires.
