How to pay
If you are applying via VFS Global in Kathmandu, you pay the visa fee with a demand draft from Standard Chartered bank in favour of Embassy of Sweden (visa). The demand draft has to be issued in Indian Rupees but can of course be paid in Nepalese rupees. VFS Global's service fee can be paid in cash or demand draft. VFS Global charges a service fee EUR 27 (inclusive of Service Tax) per application over and above the visa application fee. If you are applying directly at the Embassy, you can pay visa fees by bank draft, UPI payments or a bank card. Payment made by Bank Draft for visa application fee should be in favour of the “Embassy of Sweden (Visa)”. Bank Draft have to be made for each application. Collective Bank Draft will not be accepted.

The following pay no fee:
Relatives of citizens of the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Switzerland, if they travel together with them or will be meeting them in connection with the trip. Read more about which individuals are counted as relatives on the Swedish Migration Agency website. Relatives of Swedish citizens have to pay a fee for visa applications.
