    Visiting Sweden

    As an EU citizen you have the right to work, study or live in Sweden without a visa. Non EU citizens may need an entry visa to visit Sweden.

    An entry visa is a permit required by persons wishing to enter Sweden for a temporary visit, for example:

    • on business or to take part in a conference
    • to visit relatives and friends
    • as a tourist

    The Swedish Embassy in Riga does not handle visa or other migration issues.
