You have been invited to study or invited as an exchange doctoral student

If you have been invited to study or invited as an exchange doctoral student in Sweden for a period longer than three months, you should apply for a visitor’s permit.

NOTE: If you have been admitted to the exchange studies through e.g. www.universityadmissions.se then you need to apply for a residence permit for higher education (online application on the Swedish Migration Agency’s website).
