An EU/EEA citizen that is employed, self-employed, studying or have sufficient means for his/her support, has the right of residence in Sweden. If you fulfil the requirements for right of residence, you do not have to contact the Swedish Migration Agency.
If you plan to live in Sweden for one year or more, you are generally required to register at the Swedish population register. This procedure can only be initiated after entering Sweden. More information on the website of the Swedish Tax Agency.
