Submission of Schengen visa applications and collection of passports is through VFS Global . The visa applications are sent to the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok for decision. A decision will normally be made within 15 days.

Applications for Schengen visas can be lodged as early as 6 (six) months prior to the start of the intended visit. For Seafarers in the performance of their duties, applications can be lodges no more than 9 (nine) months before the intended date of entry to the Schengen area.More general information about Schengen visas is also available at the Swedish Migration Agency’s website.
Schengen visas are valid for visits under 90 days. If you intend to visit Sweden for more than 90 days, you should apply for a Visitor’s Permit

EU/EEA family members applying for a visa to enter the Schengen area
A family member of an EU/EEA citizen has the right to free movement, to travel to the EU/EEA-area together with family member or join to family member in the area to settle there, in accordance with Directive 2004/38/EC. Fees

The fee is paid in different currencies depending on from what country you apply. If you have any questions regarding the fee or exchange rate for your country, you may contact VFS Global for Schengen visas and the Embassy for visitor's permit.
The fee in the local currency is also displayed on VFS Global's website for the respective countries and updated by the Embassy on a regular basis, in the event of any major shift in the exchange rate.
VFS Global charges a service fee per application, in addition to the above fee for the visa.
Biometric data
All visa applicants will be required to provide their biometric data (fingerprints and photograph) when applying for a Schengen visa. It is normally a simple procedure that only takes a few minutes.
If your visa application has been refused, it's possible to appeal the decision. You get information in the decision as to why your application was rejected. If you received a decision you are not satisfied with, you can submit a written appeal no later than three (3) weeks from the day you received the decision.
If more than 3 weeks have passed since you received the decision, the appeal will be rejected by the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok.

Please write your appeal in Swedish or English. Do not send your appeal several times or in different ways.
If someone else (other than you, the applicant) signs the appeal on your behalf, that person must be authorized to represent you with a power of attorney.
Applicants residing in Timor Leste
Timorese who travel to Sweden as temporary visitors, for tourism, business trips or conferences, can stay without a visa for a maximum of 90 days within a 180 days period.
Applicants residing in Papua New Guinea
PNG nationality who want to travel to Sweden for tourism, business, training and other purposes should apply for a Schengen visa. Applicants are advised to contact the Migration Section of the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, for inquiries via email at migration.bangkok@gov.se
Applicants from other countries
You can apply at VFS Global Indonesia if you can show that you have legally residence or/and work permit in Indonesia instead of a visa.
