The Embassy of Sweden in New Delhi would like to remind applicants that it is only possible to apply for a Schengen visa to go to Sweden if the main purpose of the travel is to actually visit Sweden. If the Embassy suspects that the purpose of the trip is not in accordance with the information stated in the application, then the application will be dismissed/refused. Furthermore, a visa does not automatically mean you can enter the Schengen area. Entry checks are always made at external border points. Border controls may result in you being denied entry and a decision to revoke your visa will be stored in the Visa Information System (VIS).
The Embassy only cooperates with VFS Global. The Embassy has nothing to do with sellers outside the premises of the Embassy or the VFS Global office, or other agencies or persons approaching applicants to offer services. No agencies can influence the processing time or the decision in anyway. If any visa agents claim that they can influence your application, we urge you to immediately inform the Embassy by sending an e-mail to visa.new-delhi@gov.se or give us a call during our telephone hours.
Many agents also charge unreasonably high fees for services which are unnecessary. Some agents are known to fabricate information and documentation. The use of such visa agents may compromise the overall credibility of an application.
Also note that you are personally responsible for all information and documents that are submitted with your signed application, even if an agent has filled in the form.
