A Working Holiday Scheme was set up between Sweden and Hong Kong in 2018. There is no quota restriction for Hong Kong youths travelling to Sweden under the Scheme. The purpose of the Scheme is to broaden the horizons of young people. It provides an opportunity for young people to gain first-hand living experiences in a foreign culture while they are on holiday in Sweden and to supplement their funds through incidental employment.
Successful applicants from Hong Kong will be issued a working holiday visa by the Swedish Migration Agency, allowing them to stay in Sweden for up to 12 months. More details and online application are available at the website of the Swedish Migration Agency.
