Information about the decision

If you have applied online a message will be sent to your e-mail that a decision has been taken.

If you have given a power of attorney to the family member in Sweden the Swedish Migration Agency will send the decision to him or her.

If you wish to collect your decision you can send an email to the Embassy (ambassaden.addis-abeba-visum@gov.se) to book an appointment. 

 

Residence permit card

If you are granted a residence permit, you will be issued with a residence permit card. This card is proof that you have a residence permit. 

If you have had your photo taken during the interview a card will automatically be created. If you have not had your photo taken, contact the Embassy to book an appointment to leave biometrics. 

It can take up to four weeks for the residence permit card to be issued and delivered to the Embassy. Once the card has arrived here, the Embassy will call you on the phone number stated in the application. Please bring your passport when you are to collect your residence card.

If you loose your residence card you need to report it to the police and contact the Migration Agency (if you are in Sweden) or the Embassy (if you are in Ethiopia).
