Emergency passport
If you apply for an emergency passport at the Embassy in Pretoria; here are the requirements; (if you apply for an emergency passport at the Swedish consulate in Cape Town see further below)
- All applicants must be digitally photographed on site at the time of application. No longer necessary to bring photos!
- A valid [airline] ticket for your onwards journey.
- Valid photo-id (if available).
- A police report if your passport has been lost or stolen.
- The application fee can be paid at the time of application by Visa or MasterCard.
Additional requirements for a person under the age of 18:
- The child must be in a possession of a Swedish personal identification number.
- Written consent of both parents/legal guardians (not older than one month prior of time of application).
- If legal custody has been granted to one parent or to another person, legal proof of guardianship must be submitted with the application.
- Passports (or other valid photo ID with a clearly visible signature) of both parents/legal guardian(s), or a notarized copy of same.
If you apply for an emergency passport at the Swedish Consulate in Cape Town; here are the requirements;
- Please contact the Consulate for opening hours.
- Application forms are available at the Consulate in Cape town.
- Bring two (2) recent passport photos; size 45mmx35mm (colour or black/white).
- A valid [airline] ticket for your onwards journey.
- Valid photo-id (if available).
- A police report if your passport has been lost or stolen.
- Application fee payable at the consulate.
Additional requirements for a person under the age of 18:
