5: What documentation is needed to apply for a marriage certificate?

If you are deregistered from Sweden and intend to marry at a foreign authority, you can apply for a marriage certificate at the embassy or a consulate.

You need the following documents in original:

• Passport from you and your future spouse
• Form SKV 7881 from the Swedish Tax Agency
• Slovak ID-card or registration certificate showing where you and your future spouse are registered (not older than three months)
• Family certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency for the applicant (not older than three months)
