Coordination number for children that are born outside of Sweden and have not been residing in Sweden.
Please read the information below carefully before visiting the Embassy.
A Swedish child* that is born outside of Sweden and have not been residing in Sweden must obtain a coordination number (a Personal Identity Number), before a passport can be issued. The coordination number is issued by The Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket). It is the Embassy that requests for the number to be issued. This is done when the parents applies for the first passport for the child. The request for a coordination number is made without fee. The passport application (fee applies) is made by the parents after the coordination number has been received.
The child must be presented to the Embassy in Abuja together with, at least, one parent.
