Passports in Ireland

Applications for ordinary passports (or national ID cards) can be made at police authorities in Sweden and at Swedish Embassies abroad that are authorised to carry out passport services. Information is available on the Swedish Police's website. 

The Embassy in Dublin has not been authorised to issue ordinary passports but can issue emergency passports (see information under a separate heading) if a passport has expired or been lost.
