Vacancy at the Embassy of Sweden in Amman: Programme Administrator at the Regional Development Cooperation Section of the Embassy of Sweden
The Embassy of Sweden in Amman seeks applications from highly motivated and suitably qualified persons to fill the position of a Programme Administrator.
The Embassy of Sweden in Amman is responsible for representing Swedish interests in Jordan and the overall tasks of the Embassy include supporting business and trade, regional development cooperation as well as consular and migration services, and has approximately 40 employees.
The regional development cooperation is governed by the strategy for MiddleEast and NorthAfrica 2024-2027, decided by the Swedish Government and assigned to the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) for implementation. The strategy focuses on different thematic areas such as trade, environment and climate change, economic development and migration. The section working with the strategy has 13 employees.
The Programme Administrator is locally employed by the Embassy. Her/his primary responsibilities are to support team members in their use of Sida’s various administrative systems (archive, financial management system, programme appraisal and monitoring system), arrange meetings, process payments and quality assurance work. She/he will be part of the section’s quality assurance group together with the controllers.
The deadline to apply is the 8th of February and the starting date is as soon as possible. The position offers full-time employment contingent upon satisfactorily completing the probationary period of 6 months.

Main Qualifications:
Education: University degree in business administration, communication, economics, languages, social sciences, or related fields.
Experience: A minimum of five years working experience from a similar position is preferable.

Applicants who are not Jordanian citizens must hold a valid Jordanian work-permit or have permanent residency status in Jordan.

Selected candidates will be asked to present at least two references and provide supporting documents such as certificates and copies of degrees, followed by interviews. Written tests will also be part of the selection process. The successful candidate will be required to pass security certifications before an offer can be made and accepted, including arranging for a certificate of criminal non-conviction and a medical certificate.
